Ultrasonography

Ultrasonography uses sound waves to allow us to see inside many organs and evaluate their internal structure. It helps in the diagnosis for many problems and conditions, including pregnancy diagnosis. It gives very different information than x-rays and is often used in conjunction with radiography to make a more complete picture of the problem.

Ultrasonography is completely safe since it is not invasive or gives off radiation. However, it does require the hair to be shaved, sometimes in extensive areas.

Dr. David Heubner enjoys doing ultrasounds and having taken courses in this field, he performs most of the ultrasounds in the practice. Dr Nancy Ridder has participated in courses as well and is able to perform some of the exams.
