Mel joined our team in 2014. She grew up in the small village of Port Sydney located int eh Muskoka’s. She would regularly visit family in Huron county. Always having a love of animals and helping her grandparents on the family farm, she knew which direction her future career would head. She graduated from Northern College with 2 post secondary degrees. The first being a Veterinary Technician and the second specializing as a Wildlife Rehabilitation technologist.
At the clinic you will see Mel helping clients and their pets at the front desk, answering phone and assisting the veterinarians. Somethings that she loves about her job includes the consistent learning environment.
Her husband and her have 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls. Some of their interest outside of school and work include camping, swimming, skiing and hanging around with friends and family riding their motorcycles and being part of a non profit charity ABATE Huron Perth that raises money for children charities.
Mel passed her VTNE Exam on July 31st 2024 and now is a Registered Veterinary Technician.
